Missions

Talbot Creek has members of our church family heading out for short term Missions Ministries to various parts of the world.
Cindy McCarthy and son Frank are heading to the New Orleans area next March to help with reconstruction after hurricanes devastated this area a while ago. They are traveling with Mennonite Disaster Services. Baking home made apple pies is part of their fund raising challenge.

Peter Meuhlegg will be heading to Haiti as a pilot flying a small plane carrying medical supplies, people and other items to and from areas so hard hit by the earthquake nearly a year ago. Peter is travelling with an aviation ministry from Belleville Ontario. The mission behind this project is:

Talbot Creek supports GRID (see our ministries page) and is rejoicing over the GRID medical team’s recent short term mission trip to the impoverished areas of Northern Ghana. A live report will soon be given at Uxbridge Baptist Church on November 28, 2010. See http://grid-nea.org/ for details.

Join us Saturday, July 10, in Brechin Park for our Brechin Summer Fair; yard sale starting at 8:30 am followed by fun, games, food and a concert from 8:00 – 9:00 pm with Billy the kid.
And also Sunday Mornings during the summer months 10:00 – 11:15 am for Worship in the Park. Program available for kids.
